Taranto

The city of Taranto (Puglia), is about 12 km from the Residence, can be reached by city buses (stop 50 meters away). Taranto is the city of the two seas, the Mar Piccolo and the Mar Grande, separated by the waterway of the navigable canal, which connects, through the Girevole bridge, the old city with the new city.

The city preserves many archaeological finds from the ancient Roman and Greek settlements. To visit the Marta Museum which houses the famous “Ori di Taranto”, on display all over the world. To visit the Cathedral of San Cataldo located in the suggestive alleys of the Old City.
